Let me Introduce Ourself

Welcome to Little VIP's Child Care

Established in 2009, our long day care facility takes pride in being a family-owned and operated institution, fostering a warm and nurturing environment for children from newborns to 12 years old. Our commitment to excellence is rooted in family values, ensuring a personal touch in every aspect of our childcare services. As a family-owned establishment, we understand the importance of creating a supportive and engaging space for children to grow, learn, and flourish. Our experienced team, dedicated to providing quality care, has been an integral part of the community for over a decade. From the earliest stages of infancy to the pre-adolescent years, our comprehensive programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each developmental stage. At our long day care, we strive to support working parents by offering extended hours and creating a second home where children can thrive, and families feel confident in the quality of care.

Learning Through play

Nurturing Curiosity and Development

Children’s natural curiosity drives their understanding of the world through play. Creating playful opportunities for exploration, experimentation, and discovery forms the foundation of their learning and development. Play engages children with their surroundings, helping them build knowledge and skills for a lifetime of learning.

Learning through play is not confined to formal settings like preschool; it happens at home, in daycare, and playgroups, with parents and educators as the first teachers. At Little VIPs, we believe in learning through play, fostering choice, independence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging in children.

Our educators provide enriching environments and activities, emphasizing that play can occur indoors and outdoors without expensive toys. Everyday items like cardboard rolls, plastic cups, wooden spoons, and old clothes become tools for learning, demonstrating that play-based activities build essential skills for your child.

Extra Safety

Our Commitment and Practices

Comprehensive Educator Training

All educators must obtain first aid, CPR, child protection, fire safety, safe food handling, and asthma and anaphylaxis emergency management certifications. Training expenses are covered for permanent educators.

Working With Childrens Check

Any individuals directly involved with children or within the service premises during care hours must possess a current Working With Children Check.

Above Ratio Staffing

We maintain above-ratio staffing, employing additional educators to provide optimal support for a safe and stress-free environment for both children and educators.

Consistent Educator Placement

Our educators are permanently and consistently placed in rooms, fostering strong bonds with children and ensuring continuity of care.

Unhindered Supervision

Environments are strategically set up to ensure unhindered supervision of children, prioritizing their safety.

Sun Safety Practices

We promote sun-safe practices, ensuring shade and cool/warm play areas for all children. As a registered sun-safe centre, strict policies, including "No Hat No Play," are enforced.

Secure Entry and Exit

Security is paramount, with controlled entry and exit points. Only unauthorized individuals can enter with a senior Educator opening the security doors.

Strict Release Policies

Children will only be released to known individuals listed on the authorization form, ensuring their safety and security.

Hygiene and Cleaning Protocols

Rigorous cleaning follows current guidelines throughout the day. Handwashing is a routine supported by conveniently located sanitizing stations.

Emergency Preparedness

Regular emergency drills, including evacuations, lockdowns, and medical emergencies, are conducted to familiarize children with appropriate responses.

Focus on Well-being

Strategies such as breathing exercises and mindfulness are integrated into the routine. Zones of Regulation areas are set up, and regular discussions about feelings and expression occur.

Holistic Health and Safety Learning

Our programs and daily activities incorporate health and safety learning, covering dental hygiene, handwashing, fire safety and more to ensure a comprehensive approach to well-being for children, families and educators.
